though it doesn't seem like there is anyone out there??
I'm now pretty much mastered a Bach Prelude, and quite a lot of other stuff...

To start with...
I've just finished my fourth piano lesson with Richard and, though I'm inspired by the piano playing, I'm also inspired to start a blog to see if there are other people out there who're having the same experience - though how the hell will they find this? It's probably just another one of my displacement activities.
He's just given me Ballade Pour Adeline to practice from the Easy Piano Collection book (Wise Publications).
Up to now I've been working mainly from Faber's The Essential Jazz Collection - Lady is a Tramp, Fly Me to the Moon etc. Really nice arrangements of some lovely tunes, and I'm building up to my favourite, Misty.
For a long time I've played piano by ear, applying my knowledge of guitar chords and progressions to accompanying songs that I sing. But I want to learn to read music properly, because I recognize that that opens up a whole new world of possibilities ...
But it's hard going. Anyone else feel the same? Is anybody out there?
